WHAT:
According to Selig Center for Economic Growth, Asian Americans
will represent $670 billion in spending power by 2012 while
Hispanics will represent $1.2 trillion in spending power by
2012. Complimentary to the report, the Agricultural Marketing
Resource Center says that ethnic foods represent $1 out of every
$7 spent.
In
an effort to build on the increasing ethnic food purchasing
power, Expo Comida Latina and All Asia Food will welcome local
and national retailers, distributors, foodservice, and manufacturers
to showcase the newest in Asian and Hispanic food and beverage.
In
the coming months, local merchants and consumer foodies will
be able to experience these foods in grocery store shelves and
